On foot of the CDI deal with the Irish Film Board and Anglo Irish Bank, Treausre (I Went Down), will soon be trading as Treasure Entertainment, and now encompass three different divisions: feautres, animation and television.
As announced at Cannes, writer-director Conor McPhearson and former ICM agent Justin Moore-Lewy have joined the expanding company. Kirsten Sheridan (Disco Pigs) is to write/direct a biopic of the Russian gynmnast Olga Korbut, entitled ‘Olga’. Paddy Breathnach has two projects in development, 'The Sunshine in My Life', a true story based on the friendship between Muhammad Ali and Paddy Monaghan, along with ‘Swordland’. Conor McPherson has written an Amercian police thriller, entitled ‘McIntyre'. Two other features include ‘Catalpa’ and ‘Clementina’, as well as a tv series ‘No News at Throat Lake’.
