Simon Fitzmaurice’s acclaimed and award winning short film ‘Full Circle’ will screen on RTE TWO on Saturday the 26th of March at 23.20pm.
‘Full Circle’ is the fourth short film from Fitzmaurice. Starring Tara Lynne O’Neill (Eastenders, Disco Pigs). It is a simple story of a chip shop worker who falls in love with a security guard working across the road. The film was shot on location in Dublin and has screened at over fifty film festivals worldwide.
‘Full Circle’ was nominated for Best Short Film at The Irish Film and Television Awards. And has won the Awards at the Heartland Film Festival 2004, The Palm Springs International Festival of Short Films 2004, The Belfast Film Festival 2004, The Cork International Film Festival 2003 and the Cherbourg Irish & British Film Festival 2003 where it picked up the Prix Spécial du Jury (Special Jury Prize) and the Meilleur Actrice (Best Actress) for Tara Lynne O’Neill.
Simon has recently finished his second feature script, a low-budget Irish feature in the vein of 'Full Circle' that he is very excited about, and is now forging ahead with getting it made. Simon is also directing commercials for television.
Full Circle will be broadcast on RTE TWO AT 23.20pm on Saturday the 26th of March 2005.
