The Horror Channel and CUT! are seeking entries from aspiring Irish directors to participate in their short film competition with a £5000 prize up for grabs.
A panel of elite judges, including US producer Rob Tapert (The Grudge and The Evil Dead), New York director Lloyd Kaufman (Toxic Avenger, Tromeo & Juliet and the upcoming Poultrygeist) and internationally renowned film critic Alan Jones, will assess the submitted films and decide the overall winner. There is a £5000 prize for the winner and the top ten films will play at the FrightFest film festival, Leicester Square, London (26-30th August 2006)

• The film must have a horror theme e.g. thriller, slasher, comic, sci fi, supernatural etc.
• Maximum running time is 2 minutes
• Short films must be submitted in the following editable formats - DVD (m-peg or H264 files), digibeta or DV and Mini DV format. VHS tapes will not be considered
• Tape submissions must be accompanied by an entry form & disclaimer form

• Entries should be received by 23 June 2006
• The films will also be edited for mobile and made available on an exclusive Horror Channel WAP site launched this month and on Ghost House Mobile
