The first day of MIPTV 2013 at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes proved to be a big success for Abú Media.

The ‘Ireland on Screen’ delegates attending MIPTV 2013 were present for this year's event at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, marking one of the most important events in the TV industry calendar.

The role of Production Designer is a hugely important one on any set. IFTN spoke to BAFTA-nominee, Donal Woods, Production Designer of the hit ITV drama Downton Abbey, ahead of the BAFTA Craft Awards this April.

Marking the 20th anniversary of the Irish Film Board, the IFI will showcase some new Irish films and short films across the month of April starting on April 12th.

The Broadcasting Authority of Ireland is hosting a panel discussion entitled ‘The Storytellers’ this 25th April as part of this year's Celtic Media Festival.

The seminar takes place on Monday 22 April from 7.30-9.30pm at 10 Hume Street, Dublin 2, and will begin with a screening of the ‘The Secret Peacemaker’ documentary, directed by Ciaran O’Connor.

The Broadcasting Authority of Ireland has launched its 2013 Community Broadcasting Support Scheme, consisting of a total fund allocation of €30,000 made available for the operation and funding of the scheme.
