‘Speed Dating’ actor, writer and director Tony Herbert has joined the cast of ‘The Absinthe Drinkers’. The film stars Alicja Bachleda (Ondine), Tim Roth (Pulp Fiction), John Hurt (V for Vendetta) and Peter Facinelli (Twilight) and tells the story of a talented young female painter whose recognition is usurped by the prejudices of the male-dominated art scene of 19th century Paris and Florence.
‘The Absinthe Drinkers’ will start shooting on April 19th in Italy and Poland. The director of the project is John Jopson (Rise and Fall of the Spartans) with Carlo Dusi (Little Ashes) is the producer.
Tony Herbert former project, ‘Speed Dating’, was this week released on DVD in the USA. The film has enjoyed a very successful festival run in the United States playing over 40 festivals and winning 5 awards. The film will be released nationwide by MTI Home Video.
