John Crowley is a graduate of UCC and is Associate Director at the Donmar Warehouse.
Film credits include; COME & GO which was part of the Beckett Film Project 2000/1 and John recently directed INTERMISSION.
Recent work includes: THE PILLOWMAN by Martin McDonough for the (Royal National Theatre), ON AN AVERAGE DAY starring Woody Harrelson and Kyle MacLachlan (Comedy Theatre, West End), THE MATCH SELLER GIRL (Theatre Project Tokyo, Japan), MACBETH for Thelma Holt Productions (Queens Theatre, West End) and THE TURN OF THE SCREW (Welsh National Opera).
Productions for the Donmar Warehouse include TALES FROM HOLLYWOOD, JUNO AND THE PAYCOCK (and Broadway), Genet’s THE MAIDS (and a UK Tour), HOW I LEARNED TO DRIVE and INTO THE WOODS.
Productions for the Royal National Theatre include FAIR LADIES AT A GAME OF POEM CARDS.
TRUE LINES won the 1995 Stewart Parker Award for Best New Play and in 1996 John won the Kilkenny Cream of Ireland Award for Performing Arts for his work on DOUBLE HELIX.
