EFP Producers on the Move 2024: Screen Ireland Call for Applications
06 Mar 2024 : News Desk
Producers on the Move
Screen Ireland is now seeking applications from producers who wish to be considered as the Irish selection for the 2024 EFP Producers on the Move programme, held each year at the Cannes Film Festival.

Each year, 20 promising, up-and-coming producers from Europe are selected to participate in Producers on the Move, cumulatively 501 over the past 24 years. The goal of the initiative is to connect young, enterprising European producers with potential co-production partners, bolster their industry networks and, at the same time, provide a solid and visible platform for this next generation of European filmmakers.

EFP’s Producers on the Move programme will be hybrid again and consist of a three-day online pre-festival (30th April - 2nd May) and on-site networking events during the Cannes Film Festival (18th - 22nd May).

The producers pass through a selection process which sees those producers chosen for the final line-up then benefitting from the programme of activities. They will take part in project pitching, 1:1 meetings and case studies, social events and an extensive promotion campaign which includes an online presentation and being featured in the international trades.

Previous Irish Producers on the Move include Kathryn Kennedy (Atomic Hope), Jessie Fisk (Wolf) John Wallace (Rialto) Cormac Fox (Animals), Alan Maher (Song of Granite), Katie Holly (Vita & Virginia), John Keville and Conor Barry (The Hole in the Ground), Juliette Bonass (A Date for Mad Mary) and Rebecca O’Flanagan (Papi Chulo).

Producers interested in participating in Producers on the Move 2024 should fill out the application form on Screen Ireland’s website, as well as a letter of motivation, a description and a financing plan of the project or slate of projects to be pitched at the festival and email to marketing @ screenireland.ie by Thursday, 7th March at 12pm.
