The Anglican Church of the Ascension which dates from the early 19th century, features gorgeous and unique wall mosaics completed over a period of 30 years, commemorating how one of the local Landowners saved the life of an Indian Maharajah’s son in battle. It also features a crucifixion scene in the East window and a life size angel font, a copy of a Renaissance statue in Rome.
