A remake of the 1963 French film "La Guerre de Boutons", this is the story of the ongoing rivalry between youngsters in two neighbouring Irish villages during the seventies. The feud between the Ballydowse and Carrickdowse boys escalates into a mini war, where the different sides fight for the buttons of each other's clothes. This childhood tale is told from the point of view of one of the girls, Maria.
