New Bursary for Filmmakers & Scriptwriters |
11 Apr 2012 | The Tyrone Guthrie Centre, the residential workplace for artists, has announced a new bursary for filmmakers and scriptwriters. The bursary will offer one successful applicant, or a pair collaborating on a project, the opportunity to use the Annaghmakerrig workplace in County Monaghan to work on projects for one week. |

Galway Film Fair Application Deadline Approaching |
11 Apr 2012 | The Galway Film Fair’s deadline for applications to take part in the Marketplace networking event is 11 May 2012. The Galway Film Fair will take place 13-14 July, as part of the Galway Film Fleadh 10-15 July. The Marketplace is an opportunity for producers of feature films or documentaries to network with industry professionals at pre-scheduled meetings. The Fair is calling on producers to submit projects before the deadline in order to be selected for the two-day event. Priority will be given to projects which have a finished screenplay and a percentage of development and/or production finance in place. |

BAI Backs 24 TV Projects with €4.42m Funding |

RTÉ’s Seeks Gameshow & Entertainment Ideas |
03 Apr 2012 | RTÉ’s call for ideas for Young Peoples’ Programme deadline is tomorrow, Wednesday 4 April. The broadcaster is looking for proposals for a gameshow or entertainment series which targets an audience of 9-12-year-olds. The 25 minute-long episodes, 9 in total, will air in the ‘early evening’ slot. RTÉ is offering a budget of €241,000. |
