The Galway Film Fair’s deadline for applications to take part in the Marketplace networking event is 11 May 2012. The Galway Film Fair will take place 13-14 July, as part of the Galway Film Fleadh 10-15 July. The Marketplace is an opportunity for producers of feature films or documentaries to network with industry professionals at pre-scheduled meetings. The Fair is calling on producers to submit projects before the deadline in order to be selected for the two-day event. Priority will be given to projects which have a finished screenplay and a percentage of development and/or production finance in place.
The Fair attracts national and international film industry key players. Previous delegates include representatives from Paramount Pictures International, Sundance Film Festival and BBC Films.
The Fair is held as part of the Galway Film Fleadh, an annual six-day film event which has previously seen film stars such as Martin Sheen, Anjelica Huston and Jeremy Irons attend.
As well as screenings of international films, the Fleadh will hold premieres of home grown talent with a number of Irish-produced films scheduled as well as a range of master classes, workshops and public interviews with industry experts.
