Ireland’s Simon Delaney Cast Opposite Vince Vaughn in Hollywood Comedy

Irish actor Simon Delaney has been cast opposite Vince Vaughn in upcoming Hollywood comedy 'Starbuck'.

The Dublin actor will play Vaughn’s brother in the Dreamworks comedy which begins filming early next month.

Written and directed by Ken Scott, ‘Starbuck’ will tell the story of a middle-aged man who learns that he has fathered 533 children through sperm donation, all of whom want to meet him.

Delaney will fly to the US to begin filming scenes for the comedy on October 8. The busy actor has just wrapped filming on Irish co-production ‘Food Guide To Love’ and is currently filming scenes for season two of ‘Moone Boy’ in Co Roscommon.

The 40-year-old actor will also appear in ‘Once’ director John Carney’s major Hollywood movie ‘Can A Song Save Your Life’, which was shot in New York over the Summer and is being produced by influential US comedy producer Judd Apatow’s production company Apatow Productions.

Ken Scott, who is directing ‘Starbuck’, recently completed another feature ‘The Last Seduction’, with Irish actor Brendan Gleeson.
