Fiona Ashe (Shades of Gray, Rapunzel - The Blonde Years) has been attached to two international feature films as director and co-director, both of which are to be shot in Ireland.
The first is a screen adaptation of the Wall Street Journal bestseller, ‘The Go-Giver’, on which she is attached as screenwriter. In collaboration with the original authors John David Mann and Bob Burg, the book being adjusted to work as an Irish film despite being originally set in the United States. Fiona believes “that Ireland is the right place to set and shoot the film because the generosity of the Irish spirit represents the ethos in the book.”
Mark W. Travis (Family Ties, Going Under) has chosen the award-winning Irish Director to work as co-director alongside him in an upcoming project which is currently in the process of script development. Both Mark and Fiona intend to progress with the venture in the coming weeks during their time in Dublin and at The Galway Film Fleadh. The movie is also to be shot in Ireland.
Fiona’s latest short film ‘Rapunzel - The Blonde Years’, which was commissioned by the Irish Film Board, will be screened in the Notting Hill Film Festival this month, which tours London, Rome, Chicago and Cannes.
