Production Sound Mixer Ronan Hill has won his sixth Cinema Audio Society award for his work on Game of Thrones alongside Simon Kerr and Danny Crowley.

Hill has been nominated for every season of the show and this win follows a sixth TEC award win at the Namm Show in Anaheim California last weekend, as well as, his fifth Primetime Emmy award win for GOT.

Hill, who attended the ceremony at the Intercontinental Hotel Downtown Los Angles with his colleagues, paid tribute to his team and fellow production mixers Simon Kerr and Danny Crowley who share the CAS award for season 8 The Bells with re-recording mixers Onnalee Blank, Mathew Waters and foley mixer Brett Voss.

“I am immensely proud to receive this award from my peers, which is recognition of the hard work and dedication of the entire sound team. This may be our last hurrah for the show so it’s nice to go out on a high,” said Hill when talking with IFTN.

With the era of Game of Thrones coming to an end in 2019, Hill is excited about the “different challenges and opportunities” that come with “a new project”. Next for Hill will be Line of Duty Season 6, which he is “looking forward to starting” in the coming weeks.
