Derry Girls creator Lisa McGee has signed with CAA (Creative Artists Agency) for US representation.
Three-time IFTA winner Lisa McGee has signed with Creative Artists Agency for US representation.
McGee is best known for her work as the creator, writer, and executive producer of Channel 4’s Derry Girls, for which she received the BAFTA awards for Best Scripted Comedy and Best Writer, Comedy earlier this year.
How to Get to Heaven From Belfast, McGee’s upcoming series, has been greenlit for eight episodes by Channel 4. McGee described the series as "like the Coen brothers, only they’re Northern Irish women” in an interview with IFTN earlier this year. The series follows three women who have been friends since school, who find themselves embroiled in a dark and twisted mystery.
McGee’s previous work includes Channel 4 sitcom London Irish, psychological thriller The Deceived, and Raw, which ran for five seasons on RTÉ.
