Paul Duane’s ‘Very Extremely Dangerous’ released on DVD and iTunes
24 Feb 2015 : Seán Brosnan
Documentary follows Jerry McGill as he battles with cancer and addictions to prescription drugs
‘Very Extremely Dangerous’, a documentary funded by the Irish Film Board is now available worldwide on iTunes and DVD.

The film is directed by Paul Duane and produced by Duane and Robert Gordon for Screenworks. Duane has previously wrote and produced RTÉ’s ‘Amber’ and the IFB funded documentary ‘Barbaric Genius’.

Paul Duane travelled to the Southern states of the USA in February 2011 with director of photography, John T Davis (‘The Boys of St Columb’s’) to shoot follow-up imagery and interviews for his film which was then edited in Screenworks by Colm O’Brien (‘Barbaric Genius’).

The film follows Jerry McGill, the last American outlaw. At 70 years old, staring death in the face and with three jail terms behind him, he gets one last chance at musical immortality. Will he take it, or will he go out in a blaze of guns, police, drugs and ragged glory?

‘Very Extremely Dangerous’ follows McGill as he battles with cancer and his addictions to violence and prescription drugs.

‘Very Extremely Dangerous’ is now available worldwide on DVD and iTunes.
