Finbar belongs to a working class Dublin suburb. His father's dream of C&W stardom dead, hopes are pinned to the eldest son to star for Grasshoppers FC in Zurich. But Finbar can't handle it and resumes life in the dead-end, dank hole that is (presumably) Tallaght. Romantic difficulties with Katie (Lorraine Pilkington) lead to complications with best friend Danny (Luke Griffin) and then, suddenly, Finbar takes flight. Literally. The community is haphazardly drawn together in an Action Committee to find him, yet three years pass before there is any confirmation that he is still alive. A late-night phonecall prompts Danny to go to Sweden, and a journey begins…
