The participants and jury members of JETS 2024 have been announced. The initiative offers selected producers the opportunity to take part in an annual pitching session during the Berlin International Film Festival.
JETS stands for Junior Entertainment Talent Slate and unites 1st, 2nd and 3rd feature film filmmakers with Irish, Canadian, German, Norwegian, Austrian, British, South African and US producers, sales agents, finance and distribution companies during a pitching session with the aim of co-production during the Berlin International Film Festival 2024.
The JETS Initiative 2024 will take place on the 20th and 21st of February as a Live event during the festival.
There are three Irish projects among the JETS Initiative’s 2024 selection:
- Displacement by Nell Hensey & Claire Mooney
- Kobalt by Cian Desmond & Jack Desmond
- The Others by Emer Durcan & Jason Branigan
The JETS International Jury has also been announced. Among the selected industry professionals are Irish producers Conor Barry (Savage Production), and John McDonnell (Fantastic Films). The Jury will support the JETS participants during the festival.
The JETS Co-Production Initiative, organised by WEP Productions & JETS Filmverleih & Vertrieb (Distribution), is funded and supported by Telefilm Canada, nordmedia, ÖFI-Austrian Film Institute, HessenFilm & Medien, FFF-Bayern, and NFVF South Africa.
