Irish Telecommunications company Eir has purchased Setanta Sports Channel Ireland Ltd, the international sports broadcaster, also based in Ireland, for an undisclosed sum.

Netflix have picked up the rights to Irish neo-Western ‘Darkness on the Edge of Town’ and will make the title available to over 50 million subscribers across the U.S. and Canada from the 9th December 2015.
