Galway film company Sónta have just finished principal photography on their new feature documentary 'Ám Lón- Men at Lunch' that reveals the fascinating human story behind one of the most iconic images of the 20th century - Lunch atop a Skyscraper - a black and white photograph taken on the 69th floor of New York's Rockefeller Centre - as construction neared completion in the autumn of 1932. more

The 8x1hour series 'Treasure Seekers' is looking to shoot a special Irish edition in early August. The brand new primetime series for Sky Atlantic will follow two antiques and design experts (collector Paul Liengaard and interior designer Sarah Brunner) who will scour the UK and Ireland looking for weird and wonderful items to buy for decoration in photo shoots, festivals and boutiques more
ANIMATION | Ballyfermot College & TCD Team Up for Animation
Students and graduates of the Irish School of Animation (ISA) at Ballyfermot College of Further Education and Trinity College's Graphics, Vision and Visualisation Group (GV2) have teamed up to collaborate with academics and the Giant Creative company to work on a new animated short film initiative, to be completed in August. more

Filming will begin for Mind The Gap Films 2x45 minute series 'The Only Viking in the Village' for RTÉ next week. Hiromasa Yonebayashi's 'Arrietty' starring Saoirse Ronan is to be released on July 29th in the UK and Ireland. The film is an adaptation of Mary Norton's 'The Borrowers' fantasy novels about little people who live under the floorboards. The movie is from the animators of Japan's Studio Ghibli (Spirited Away). more
