A classical 1960ís/70ís Tower Block that dominates the skyline in the West of the City, County Hall was a concrete monolith that attracted a fair amount of criticism for its architecture and lack of aesthetics until it was completely revamped recently.

Now it has attracted praise for its pleasant, modern airy feel to the inside. The outside has improved immensely too, but thereís no getting away from the fact that itís a giant Tower block in an otherwise low lying City. Outdone for the title of the tallest building in the County by the new Elysian Tower, it still has amazing views right across the City.

All permissions to film come through here, so itís a great chance to check out the views during your time in Cork.
