Sheeps Head, located in West Cork, Southern Ireland, is a peaceful, unspoilt peninsula which has some of the most beautiful scenery in all of Ireland.
The Head is windswept on one side and relatively sheltered on the other with a surprisingly high ridge of hills running down the middle. Green pastures at low levels change into upland heather moor higher up very quickly. The area is distinguished by a mix of quaint, refurbished traditional cottages, old graveyards small harbours and little villages. A unique feature is a ‘Tin Pub’ made out of corrugated iron with beautiful gardens to the sea. Distance from Cork: 2 hours and five minutes |
