The Kid’s Jury is a unique opportunity for never-aired programmes to be screened in front of their most important jury: kids! The finalists were chosen by Total Licensing, ContentAsia and Kidscreen and will face their target audience (children from the International School of Nice) at MIPJunior on October 1st and 2nd.
Produced by Maeve McAdam and Villi Ragnarsson, the 39x7 minute preschool series follows Joe and his best friend Jack the cat. The two set out on all sorts of adventures, where their backyard becomes Candyland, the paddling pool transforms into treasure-laden waters and anything is possible. The series is directed by Stuart Shankley (Maggie and the Ferocious Beast).
Winners of the Kids’ Jury Prizes will receive an award, complimentary entry to MIP Junior 2012, free upload of the winning programme to the MIP Junior 2012 Digital Library and Editorial coverage in the MIPCOM Daily News.
Created by Corrina Askin, the series was produced using Animo Studio Pro and began production in A Man and INK Studios in Galway. It will be broadcast on RTÉ in Irish and English in 2012. ‘Joe and Jack’ is funded by MEDIA, RTÉ, IFB, Northern Ireland Screen, ILBF, Section 481 and the BAI.
