Windmill Lane, Ireland’s longest running VFX and Post-Production company is looking for a Marketing and Communications Manager to join us.
Our client base lies across the Irish and international Film, TV, and Advertising sectors.
Your primary role will see you running effective research, strategic marketing, brand communication, networking and nurturing initiatives that support and drive improved lead generation, sales, and new business opportunities across all sectors of our business.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Conducting sectoral research, client listening exercises etc. and report to management on client and industry trends, developments, and opportunities.
- Managing company and brand communication across all touchpoints - external and internal - Promoting, creating, and maintaining Windmill Lane’s brand in all initiatives and campaigns and continually working to enhance the company’s brand profile.
- Within your brand guardianship responsibilities, strengthening our brand and profile, taking responsibility for clarity of brand voice, messaging, and identity and for the development and articulation of a unique value proposition that increases the brand awareness for each sector.
- Identifying key networking opportunities, supporting industry outreach, representing, and coordinating staff participation at industry events, showcase and keynote events.
- Building and managing relations with key institutions and relevant media outlets to promote our services and raise awareness of the brand, talent, and projects we work on.
- Engaging with key industry representative bodies for potential marketing opportunities including; Screen Ireland, IBEC, Enterprise Ireland, Screen Skills Ireland, IAPI, AI, ICAD, VFXI, CPI, etc.
- Encouraging all colleagues to become more comfortable and articulate in promoting our marketing, communication, and PR strategies, whilst improving their written, oral, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Assisting in the creation of pitch and promotional decks and content.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a B2B environment.
- A good level of industry knowledge and relevant experience in the Film, TV or Advertising sectors would be ideal, although candidates from other backgrounds will be considered.
- Understanding of what makes our clients tick is crucial to being successful in this role and a demonstrable capacity for being able to enter a new environment and quickly acclimate is essential.
- A strong, demonstrable knowledge of marketing concepts and principles.
- Strong knowledge of market intel research methodologies with a view to gaining valuable, strategic and actionable insights.
