Ear to the Ground RTE 1 is returning for its twentieth series at the end of October. This high profile farming and rural affairs series has a vacancy for an experienced programme researcher.
The successful candidate will join an established team of producers and presenters to produce three compelling stories each week. Position runs from late September to mid February.
The primary requirements of the job are:
• a highly motivated self starter operating to hard production deadlines
• a good knowledge of farming and rural affairs issues essential
• experience and contacts to enable quick access to rural stories and contributors
• passionate about story telling and able to accurately assess the capacity of potential contributors
• TV research experience, a bonus but not essential.
• Successful candidates must be experienced and could come from national TV or radio, local radio or regional press.
