Leading Irish animation studio Cartoon Saloon is looking for applicants for the new position of Managing Director. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wishes to help an award winning, internationally recognised studio grow. This role would require international experience with industry giants, the ability to develop new relationships, operational experience, business acumen and the understanding of the creative and commercial demands of the film and television industry. It will be expected that applicants have a minimum of ten years experience of development and financing in the Animation/ TV/ Film and new media industries and fits the following description:
- Strong legal and business affairs experience.
- Extensive knowledge of film financing and funding structures in Europe and the U.S.
- Experience of managing creative projects and colleagues and balancing these needs with the financial resources available.
- Knowledge of the licensing and new Media markets for exploiting existing and developing IP.
This new hire will be responsible for controlling and managing the finances of the company in addition to managing the strategic direction and growth of the company.
