Call for filmmakers and Film professionals to be on a panel to work with Tallaght Young Filmmakers  

PURPOSE OF THE PANEL

South Dublin County Council’s Arts Office is calling for filmmakers with an interest in working with a youth-led filmmaking group, Tallaght Young Filmmakers (TYF), to apply to be on a panel.

Filmmakers on the panel may be hired to deliver one-off masterclasses for TYF in their area of expertise and / or collaborate with TYF on individual longer-term film projects varying from 1 – 2 weeks long.

Experience working with young people is desirable but not essential .  

We are looking for experience in all areas including: acting for film / tv, editing, producing, directing, sound, lighting, foley, special effects, make up, etc….

  Reports to: TYF Youth Film Leader  

Responsibilities:

  • To build the filmmaking capacity of TYF members via the delivery of one-off workshops / masterclasses and / or collaborating with the group on the creation of films during longer term projects, varying from 1 – 2 weeks long
  • To support the group in a courteous and effective manner
  • To comply with South Dublin County Council child protection and health and safety policies.  

To apply for this panel, please submit the following by Monday, July 2nd, noon:

  • CV detailing filmography and any relevant experience working with young people. Experience working with young people is desirable but not compulsory
  • A cover letter specifying the following:
    • Interest in working with a youth-led filmmaking group
    • Area of expertise in filmmaking
  • Links to any relevant films or clips of films created. Only links will be accepted.
  • Daily fee
