The Gaiety School of Acting, The National Theatre School of Ireland is seeking a dynamic and inspirational Voice Teacher. The successful candidate will educate, inspire and empower students on our successful Two Year Intensive Professional Actor Training Programme and on a wide range of other programmes.
Role Responsibilities:
Full Time: To teach on the 2 Year Full Time course both to 1st & 2nd Years including the integrated 1st Year Term 1 Programme with our collaborators IES.
Tutorials: You will undertake semester end tutorials with the full time students in both the 1st & 2nd Year.
Journal Analysis: You will undertake weekly Journal Analysis for the Full Time Programme when in session.
Assessment: You will plan assessments and assess the full time students throughout their semesters through the assessment methodologies outlined in your module descriptor.
Resource Teaching: You will undertake additional resource teaching with the full time students as the need arises over the course of the three terms, specifically including work on showcases and the graduation play.
Masters in Theatre: You will teach a module on the MA in Theatre programme (GSA/NUI Maynooth)
One Year Programme: You will teach a class per year for our Performance Year classes, two classes per year for our Advanced Performance Year classes, three classes per year with our Performance Theatre Company.
Corporate Programme: You will teach on the school’s corporate outreach programme as required and available.
Weekend Workshops: You will teach a number of weekend day long workshops to part time/beginner students throughout the year.
Staff Meetings: You will attend all necessary staff meetings.
Programme Board Meetings: You will attend and input into all necessary Programme Board Meetings.
Minimum Qualifications:
We’re looking for applicants who have at minimum a Master’s Degree in voice. We’re particularly looking for applicants with strong teaching abilities. Applicants should have at least 2-3 years of experience teaching students at the beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels.
Applicants should possess strong communication skills and effective personal skills for working with students who range from young children to adults.
Applicants should have effective time management skills to ensure that appointments are met on time and be highly organized to keep track of any changes to their weekly schedule.
Compensation:
Ђ30,000K+ commensurate with experience and qualifications
