1st Nov until 4th Nov, 4 Days, Tues – Fri (13yrs – 17yrs) Cost: €120 Time: 10.30am – 3.30pm The Teen Actors Halloween Programme is a four day workshop. This class is designed for students who have a basic understanding of performance and would like explore the world of acting a little more in a fun and relaxed environment. This workshop will also include an actors headshot photoshoot. Students will receive digital copies for their acting CV and they will also receive a recorded audition scene. During the programme students will delve deeper into building characters, taking direction and scene work while learning lots of fun exercises. The course will cover: Camera work – What the camera will see Understanding my character Taking direction Acting exercises Improvisation Duologues Auditions Actors Headshot (Digital copies) Actors edited audition scene What’s next: Teen actors will receive Acting CV examples, contact lists and Actors headshots (Digital Copies) along with an audition video to send to casting directors.

This training programme will focus on Talent Management for Animation and VFX companies. The programme is aimed at companies that are scaling and are dealing with a variety of departmental structures, organizational change, attracting staff, retaining staff, creating career pathways, and developing a culture of training and mentorship. The programme aims to prepare the companies for change and set the ground work in place for the development of internal training academies within each company. We also aim to inform and empower the Senior Management Team to implement an effective Talent Management system. On completion of the programme, participating companies may have the opportunity to implement workplace learning initiatives with the support of Screen Training Ireland and Animation Skillnet.

Chrysalis is an intensive, project-based development programme. It is aimed at writers and development teams of both live action and animation cinematic projects. Individual writers in receipt of third party support and teams of a writer / writers with their active producer / development executive are asked to apply. Eight strong film projects which are approaching or are at the mid-point of the development process will be chosen to participate. The programme will take the form of workshops on the craft of screenwriting combined with intensive project development in a group setting. Following this participants will have an opportunity to develop a new draft. They will receive one to one feedback and guidance on their new draft.

These informal and highly informative workshops are presented by former BBC trainer Caryn Langrick and aimed specifically at people working, or who want to work, in Children’s Television. The two day course will focus on the skills required to work as a script supervisor, with specific reference to working with children. It is set at an introductory level and covers continuity, script notes, working with a director, working on set, health and safety, and working with children.

Hundreds of young filmmakers from all over Ireland submit films to Ireland’s Young Filmmaker of the Year Awards and every year some of these films are showcased at festivals and events all over the world. This showcase of a selection of 2016 winners, aimed at 13 years and up, highlights the best of young people’s filmmaking in Ireland. During the event you’ll also have the chance to hear from the award-winning filmmakers and participate in a Q&A session.
