VooDooDog Wraps Up ‘Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang’
24 Mar 2010 :
VooDooDog, run by Irish brothers Paul and Noel Donnellon and David Z. Obadiah, has recently completed the stop motion animated end credit sequence for ‘Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang’.

Directed by BAFTA winner Susanna White (Jane Eyre) and staring Academy Award winning actress and screenwriter Emma Thompson (Sense and Sensibility), the film sees the return of Nanny McPhee, to help a harried young mother who is trying to run the family farm while her husband is away at war. Nanny McPhee uses her magic to teach the woman's children and their two spoiled cousins a few lessons.

Other cast members include Oscar nominee Maggie Gyllenhaal (Crazy Heart), Rhys Ifans (Notting Hill) and Academy Award winner Dame Maggie Smith (Gosford Park).

To make the sequence, Designer / Director Paul Donnellon (The Life and Death of Peter Sellers, Nanny McPhee) created several characters and objects on computer, printed them on to paper, cut them out and along with a team of paper sculptors animated them in stop motion. The VooDooDog team also created the credit sequence for the first installment of the Nanny McPhee franchise.

‘Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang’ a Universal Pictures / Working Title Films production is in cinemas on general release in the UK and Ireland from 26th March.
