The Return of 'Traffic Blues'
01 Jul 2011 :
The 6x24 series 'Traffic Blues' is returning to our screens to show us just how dangerous and badly behaved we are on our roads. Filmed over a six month period, the series follows the work of the Garda Traffic Corps as they deal with across Four main divisions – The Dublin Metropolitan division based in Dublin castle, the Kildare division based in Naas, the Cork division following units from Anglesea St Cork City and Bandon and the Donegal division with units based in Buncrana and Letterkenny with a specific focus on young driver behaviour.
The series was produced by Philip McGovern (Mastercrafter) with Jane Kelly (Imeall Geal) and Ray McCarthy executive producing. The offline edit was done at Big Mountain's own studios and the online edit was completed in Screen Scene in Dublin.

With exclusive access, the show will focus on all sorts of crazy road behaviour, from crashes, speeding and traffic jams to drunk driving, penalty points and fatigue at the wheel. Steve Wall (Super Garden) has done the voice over for the series.

The Big Mountain Production is for RTÉ factual and the first episode will air on Sunday July 3rd at 8.30pm on RTÉ 1. Big Mountain Productions are currently in production with ‘The Genealogy Roadshow’ presented by Derek Mooney to TX in August and craft competition series ‘Mastercrafter’ to be aired later this year.
