Declan Lowney is one of the UK’s top comedy Directors, who has shot numerous commercials for the world’s biggest brands, including the multi format Walkers ‘Sandwich’ campaign that won a Gold, two Silvers and a Bronze at Cannes and the Grand Prix for Creative Effectiveness, the current hugely celebrated Warburtons ads and the long running Aviva campaign starring Paul Whitehouse to name but a few.
Lowney's feature film with Steve Coogan, 'Alpha Papa' was released to wide critical acclaim. He has recently finished Directing two episodes of the successful ABC studios show ‘Galavant' and the BBC 2 comedy series 'Flat TV'.
Along with his advertising awards, as a top television comedy Director, Lowney has won two BAFTAs for ‘Help' and 'Father Ted', International Emmys for 'Little Britain’ & 'Moone Boy' and British Comedy Awards for 'Father Ted', 'Little Britain', 'Help' and ‘Happiness’.

2001 - Declan's first feature, the romantic comedy "Wild About Harry" (Universal Pictures), had its premiere at the opening of the 2001 Dublin Film Festival. Written by Colin Bateman it starred Brendan Gleeson, Amanda Donohoe, James Nesbitt and George Wendt.
1997 - Declan directed the pilot episodes of COLD FEET and THE GRIMLEYS for Granada Television. The COLD FEET pilot won the coveted Golden Rose of Montreux and Declan also directed the first two episodes of Series One, for which he won a Royal Television Society Award.
1996 - BAFTA Award for direction of the cult Channel 4 sitcom Father Ted - his subsequent work on the series has won him 7 British Comedy Awards.
