TV3 Debuts Roy Keane Documentary

TV3’s two part documentary ‘Roy Keane – The Sunderland Story’ will air tonight Monday, 30th March 2009 at 9pm while ‘Roy Keane - A Life of Controversy’, airs the following Monday April 6th.

In the exclusive documentary , TV3 investigates former Irish footballer Roy Keane’s tenure as Sunderland manager, what went on behind the scenes during Keane’s reign, the true reason behind his devastating departure, and asks whether his tenure was a success or a failure. His relationships with Niall Quinn and investor Ellis Short are also examined.

Made in-house by TV3 productions, the documentary features brand new interviews with Paul McGrath, Charlie Chawke, Bertie Ahern, Jason McAteer, John Aldridge, Brian Kerr, Andy Reid, Vincent Hogan, Micky Horswill, Graeme Anderson and Cathal Dervin.

Written, directed and produced by Philip Gallagher, filming took place from January 5th – March 26th in locations across Sunderland, Dublin and Manchester. Executively produced by Fintan Maguire, Lorraine Costello edited while Mick Neville was on camera.
