The Park Studio's training in the area of Television has been hugely successful in developing the next generation of TV personnel. We bring expertise in every aspect of programming. Our team have worked with the BBC, RTE, TV3, Channel 4, TG4, Channel 5 and extensively in the independent sector. The course will equip you with the necessary skills to get to the next level and show how television works, from idea to broadcast. We provide industry experience, with an emphasis on practical training.
You will learn from some of the best in the business as they share their knowledge and experience of working in television. And you don't need prior experience to take part, it is open to all. The studio provides a perfect environment to gain practical experience both in front of and behind the camera. It is designed to replicate the experience you would have in any professional TV studio and features a separate production control room, enabling you to see how TV works from both sides.
Personal advice and guidance is given throughout and we provide a back up service following the training to give advice, lend support and keep you informed on developments and opportunities within the industry.
This course aims to provide you with practical, hands-on experience in all aspects of TV with an emphasis on Presentation and Direction. If you’re particularly interested in presenting you get the opportunity to learn from current presenters in how to write scripts, learn them and how to deliver to camera. You get to present many different items during the course, single camera, multi-camera, interviews, programmes where you’re the sole presenter and some with a co-presenter.
If you are interested in directing for television, you will get the opportunity to direct single and multi-camera set ups with a crew to include camera people, vision mixer, floor manager, sound, lighting and a production assistant.
