Post-production is underway on Irish production company beActive’s multi-platform sci-fi feature ‘Collider’.
Directed by Jason Butler (Butchers), the feature wrapped shooting in Maynooth, Co Kildare, last Saturday and stars Scottish BAFTA-winner Iain Robertson, English actors Bella Heesom, Jamie Maclachlan, Lucy Cudden and Portuguese actors Teresa Tavares and Marco Costa.
Picture post-production on the feature has now got underway at Tangerine in Dublin with Michael O’Sullivan editing. Sound post is taking place at beActive’s production hub in Portugal.
The feature tells the story of six people transported to a post-apocalyptic 2018, where they have to fight to discover how they got there, how to survive, and how to get back to the present.
Already being told across several platforms - including comic books, webisodes and a computer game available for iOS, Android and Facebook - ‘Collider’ continues Irish/ Portuguese company beActive’s multi-platform approach to storytelling.
The feature was written by beActive co-founder Nuno Bernardo, who is also producing alongside his beActive co-founder Triona Campbell and John McDonnell.
Eleanor Bowman served as the director of photography on the feature, which was shot over three weeks on location in Kildare and Dublin.
Caroline Harrington was the costume designer; Stephanie Clerkin the art director;
Gill Brennan was on hair and make-up, while Mairtin De Barra was the line producer.
Content Media Corporation will distribute the low-budget feature, which has been funded privately and through section 481.
Keep an eye on IFTN next week for a full report from the set of ‘Collider’.
