Irish Horror ‘Night People’ to Start Filming this June
19 Apr 2013 : By Kevin Cronin
Irish horror 'Night People' starts filming in June.
Director and producer Gerard Lough will begin principal photography on new horror feature ‘Night People’ this June, based on his own screenplay about high-tech thieves who fall foul of a building with a dark past.

‘Night People’ will be Mr Lough’s first feature-length production, building upon the success he has enjoyed in recent years making horror and science fiction shorts.

The film will star Mr Lough’s regular collaborators Michael Parle, Simon Fogarty and Claire Blennerhassett, following his recent dark sci-fi thriller ‘Ninety Seconds’ about a surveillance expert who takes on an assignment that may prove to be his downfall.

Mr Lough received critical acclaim for his 2010 short film 'The Boogeyman' - adapted from a short story by Stephen King - and was awarded 'Most Exciting Breakthrough' 2012 in the directing category by British film website Horror Cult Films.

His list of credits includes short films 'The Stolen Wings', 'The Scanner', 'Deviant', 'A Long Term Effect', and 'Ulterior'.

The production team on ‘Night People’ will also include composer Cian Furlong and visual effects artist Paul Barrett.
