Irish Sci-Fi Horror 'Night People' Now Filming in Donegal
02 Oct 2013 : By Kevin Cronin
A scene from 'Night People', now shooting in Donegal.
'Night People', an Irish sci-fi horror feature written & directed by Gerard Lough about high-tech thieves in a haunted building, has commenced principal photography in Donegal.

The feature marks the feature debut of Mr Lough whose short film credits include an adaptation of Steven King’s ‘The Boogeyman' which was awarded 'Most Exciting Breakthrough' last year by British film website Horror Cult Films.

Produced by Rogue Frame Films, ‘Night People’ combines the main storyline with three tall tales as the plot threads interweave and an elaborate insurance scam is complicated by the building’s sinister past.

Crew members on ‘Night People’ include composer Cian Furlong; visual effects artist Paul Barrett; director of photography & editor Greg Rouladh; prop designer Johnny Murphy; and sound recordist Fatima Fleming.

Actors Michael Parle, Jack Dean Shepard and Claire Blennerhassett, who all previously collaborated by with Mr Lough, also return for his big screen debut.

Principal photography commenced in August and will continue on location in South West Donegal and other Irish locations until 2014.

Mr Lough’s other credits also include such short films as ‘Ninety Seconds’, 'The Stolen Wings', 'The Scanner', 'Deviant', 'A Long Term Effect', and 'Ulterior'.

The production team are also currently accepting submissions for original songs for the film, with further details on submissions available here.
