The Erich Pommer Institute (EPI) has announced the 15 European producers selected for the third edition of its female leadership programme Series’ Women. Among them is Irish producer Claire McCabe.

The EPI has announced Claire McCabe as one of fifteen European producers that have been selected for the third edition of Series’ Women, a female leadership programme. The initiative aims to increase visibility and exposure of female producers and female-driven projects, encouraging more diversity in the audiovisual industry in the process.

McCabe’s most recent work as a producer includes shorts Safe as Houses, An Encounter, and the IFTA-nominated Don’t Go Where I Can Find You, which had its North American premiere at SXSW. She also co-produced the IFTA-nominated and BAFTA long-listed feature documentary, The Ghost of Richard Harris, which had its World Premiere at the 79th Venice International Film Festival, as well as producing Irish experimental feature Holy Island.

The 15 producers will participate in workshops on series financing, distribution, and marketing, and participate in one-to-one pitching coaching and mentoring from established industry professionals.

The programme consists of five modules, which will take place from November 2023 to April 2024, both online and in various cities across Europe. Series’ Women also features dedicated networking opportunities at Göteborg Film Festival and Series Mania Forum in France.

Series’ Women is funded by Creative Europe – MEDIA and is run in partnership with Series Mania Forum, European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs (EAVE), European Women’s Audiovisual Network (EWA), FOCAL, Göteborg Film Festval, Screen Ireland, Kulturakademin, Vlaams Audiovisueel Fonds (VAF) and Women In Film & Television International (WIFTI).
