Cathal has always had a deep love of animation, photography and art. Seeing his first short film on screen at the Galway Film Festival inspired him to co-found Brown Bag Films in 1994. Eight years later, he was awarded an Oscar® nomination as director of Give Up Yer Aul Sins. Today, Cathal focuses on the business and production side of the operation. In 2009, he was nominated for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of The Year award in recognition of his achievements at Brown Bag Films. He is also a member of Bafta. Cathal’s executive producer credits include: Olivia, Wobblyland, I’m an Animal, Noddy in Toyland, The Octonauts, Doc McStuffins and Henry Hugglemonster.
