One of few films that explores Ireland's minority community, the Travellers. Set in Ireland during the seventies, this is a realistic and entertaining film.

Michael and Angela are subjected to an arranged marriage. Michael’s father demands a dowry, so the newly married couple are sent up North to smuggle radios and televisions. Along the way they pick up a republican, hitchhiker Clicky. They take a series of secondary roads and encounter the British Army, thus they familiarize themselves with the complex northern situation.
