Irish James Nesbitt has won the lead role in ITV1’s new drama ‘Midnight Man’. The ‘Cold Feet’ and 'Murphy's Law' actor heads the cast for the three part thriller which also includes Catherine McCormack (28 Weeks Later), Zara Turner (The Brief) and Rupert Graves (Death at a Funeral).
Filming gets underway in the UK this week with David Drury (Fallen Angel) at the helm. Written by David Kane, the three part series is produced by Carnival Films.
In 'Midnight Man' Nesbitt plays journalist Max Raban, who sifts through bins in search of celebrity stories for the tabloids. Everything changes when he uncovers a dark secret that leads him into an international conspiracy.
The series is set for transmission on ITV1 next year.
