Creative Europe Announce Support for Development of Video Games
05 Jan 2018 : Nathan Griffin
The EU Commission have just announced details of the latest Creative Europe MEDIA Call.

This scheme supports European independent video games companies with proven experience who wish to develop up to an alpha or beta version of a narrative-led video game.

Eligible projects are Narrative-led video games regardless of platform or expected distribution method which are intended for commercial exploitation. The story must be told or shown throughout the whole game (in-game storytelling) and not only as an introduction or an ending to the game. In all cases the video game must be intended for commercial exploitation.

DEADLINE:  March 8th, 2018 - 11am (Irish time)

Applicant companies must also be able to demonstrate that they have developed / produced one previous narrative-led video game.

Details on the scheme, eligibility requirements, and how to apply can be found on the Creative Europe website here.

INFORMATION SESSION - JANUARY 25th 2018

The MEDIA Office in Dublin is organising an information session on the Video Games Scheme on January 25th in Drury Buildings from 10am to 1pm. Orla Clancy from Creative Europe Desk Ireland will give a presentation on the Video Game Development scheme.
