Galway Film Fleadh have announced that film submissions are now open for the festival, which will take place 9th - 14th July, 2024.
The Galway Film Fleadh aims to provide a platform for the boldest new films, and to bring audiences and filmmakers from around the world together to share in the wonder of cinema. The festival describes the event as “like Galway itself; compact, bohemian, informal and fun”.
Annually, screening between 80 to 100 feature films and up to 100 short films, the Fleadh is eager to witness the creativity, diversity, and innovation that filmmakers from around the world will bring to the festival. If you have a short film or feature film to share, don't miss the opportunity to submit this year.
Winning films from this year’s Fleadh include Apocalypse Clown, Verdigris, Past Lives, and Scrapper.
Feature Film Deadlines
Earlybird Deadline: Monday, December 11th, 2023, at 11:59 pm GMT (€30 entry fee).
Regular Deadline: Monday, February 12th, 2024, at 11:59 pm GMT (€40 entry fee).
Late Deadline for International Feature Films: Monday, March 11th, 2024, at 11:59 pm GMT (€50 entry fee).
Late Deadline for Irish Feature Films: Friday, April 5th, 2024, at 11:59 pm GMT (€50 entry fee).
Short Film Deadlines
Earlybird Deadline: Friday, January 26th, 2024, at 11:59 pm GMT (€25 entry fee).
Regular Deadline: Friday, March 1st, 2024, at 11:59 pm GMT (€30 entry fee).
Late Deadline for International Short Films: Friday, April 12th, 2024, at 11:59 pm GMT (€35 entry fee).
Late Deadline for Irish Short Films: Friday, May 3rd, 2024, at 11:59 pm GMT (€35 entry fee).
Special Note: The entry fee of €25 for Irish Student Animation (under 6 minutes) will apply across all deadlines.
