Catering North Dublin Offer Flexible, Fresh Dishes to the Irish Film & TV Industry
10 Mar 2014 : Deirdre Molumby
Catering North Dublin is a versatile catering company that offers self-service and full service catering, party platters, bar service, dinner menus and desserts. With a range of menus that include barbeques, hot food, cold food, seafood, salads and a lunch menu, Catering North Dublin produces home-made, quality meals using seasonal and local ingredients that can also be adapted for special dietary requirements.

Conor McGloughlin, Chef-Proprietor of the company, says, “What is unique about our company is our ability to be flexible and create dishes that suit our customers’ needs. We do not buy frozen meals and re-heat them or use packet sauces. Every dish is made from scratch with the best available ingredients. Therefore, we know what’s in each dish and can easily accommodate any dietary requirements.

“Quality and flavour are very important to us. We feel that the meal break should be the highlight of the day and we put a lot of effort into creating a wide variety of tasty and appetising ideas.”

McGloughlin states that the company’s objective is “to produce the best quality dishes possible, served in a professional and friendly manner, at a reasonable cost”, and that “at Catering North Dublin we like to say yes, and will always go the extra mile to try and delight our customers.”

With clients including a variety of corporations, the catering company is now hoping to bring its services to another industry: “We feel that the Irish film and TV industry offers a new opportunity for our business, especially to develop our business during the week which gives us some balance to our working schedule. What we can contribute to the industry is a new level of care and attention when it comes to providing catering solutions and most of all a greater level of customer satisfaction than currently exists in the industry.”

Past projects for North Dublin Catering include CentrePoint Productions’ comedy ‘The Centre’, shot in November of last year, annual dinners and award ceremonies for local clubs and businesses, various Foods of the World themed events for corporate clients, and conference work for Trinity College Dublin. For 2014, they will commence catering on Lambay Island and be involved in catering for the commemoration of the battle of Clontarf. They also hope to be catering for various film and TV productions.

All dishes of North Catering Dublin are prepared from their registered kitchens in Rush, Co. Dublin, in compliance with a fully monitored HACCP system.
