'A Good Day To Die Hard', the fifth instalment in the blockbuster 'Die Hard' franchise starring Bruce Willis, is currently being edited at Screen Scene in Dublin. The feature film's editor Dan Zimmerman (Max Payne) and his team of PJ Burch (The Soloist) and Ian Silverstein (Max Payne) are cutting the film at an editing suite in Ireland. more
PRODUCTION | 'Ripper Street' Wraps Filming In Ireland

Principal photography has officially wrapped on BBC series 'Ripper Street' after an 18-week shoot in Dublin. The Clancy Barracks location, which was home to Whitechapel residents Jerome Flynn, Matthew Macfadyen and Adam Rothenberg's characters Detective Drake, Inspector Reid and Captain Jackson, as well as a set which took eight weeks to build, is currently being dismantled after an 18 week-long shoot. more

Irish TV graduate Sean O'Riordan has managed to do what many Irish producers with twice as much experience have failed to do, sell a winning television format idea to an international company. Tipperary-born O'Riordan has sold the gameshow 'Newton's Law' to Warner Brothers in the US after the media giant optioned the pilot at the New York TV Festival. more
DISTRIBUTION | Ireland's First Major Bollywood Film To Hit The Big Screen

The first major Bollywood movie to be shot in Ireland is to receive its worldwide release next month and is expected to reach an audience of more than 100 million viewers in 24 countries. Executive produced by Brendan McCarthy and John McDonnell of Irish production company Fantastic Films, Bollywood blockbuster 'Ek Tha Tiger' was shot in Dublin over five weeks last summer. more

FESTIVALS | Cillian Murphy's 'Broken' and Kirsten Sheridan's 'Dollhouse' Triumph At Odessa
Cillian Murphy's 'Broken' and Kirsten Sheridan's 'Dollhouse' were among the winners at the Odessa International Film Festival in Ukraine. 'Broken', adapted from Daniel Clay's novel of the same name by Irish screenwriter Mark O'Rowe (Intermission), won the festival's Grand Prix prize and with it a cash prize of 15,000 dollars. The film was directed by Rufus Norris and features Murphy, Tim Roth and Rory Kinnear among its cast members. more

BROADCAST | RTÉ Announces Changes To Distribution and Transmission Company RTÉNL
RTÉ is to rename and rebrand its distribution and transmission company RTÉNL as part of its ongoing cost-cutting measures. The broadcaster will appoint a new board of directors, including independent directors, along with a new independent chairman, for the subsidiary, which was established as a separate company in 2003. RTÉNL's headquarters will also be located away from RTÉ's Dublin campus in Donnybrook. more

Sony have unveiled their new PMW-200 handheld camcorder, which comes with three half-inch Exmor CMOS sensors and full HD 4:2:2 50Mbps recording.
