Cameras will role on the Irish leg of filming for the fourth instalment in Astérix and Obélix franchise, 'Astérix and Obélix: God Save Britannia' on August 15th. The French Franchise will film for five weeks in Ireland with an estimated budget of €50 million. more

The 12 x one hour drama series 'Titanic: Untold Story of How it All Began' will begin filming in Dublin in mid-September. The Italian production behind the drama series is The DeAngelis Group, with Irish company EPOS films co-producing the project. more

PRODUCION | National Geographic 'Lusitania' Documentary Preps in Cork
Lusitania
A two hour documentary, to be broadcast by National Geographic in the US, will begin filming off the coast of Kinsale, Co Cork this August. Produced by Lusitania Productions Ltd. in association with M3TV, the documentary, entitled 'The Dark Secret of the Lusitania', will attempt to uncover the mystery surrounding the sinking of Cunard Liner off the Southwest coast of Ireland in May 1915. The wreck of the Lusitania is owned by 83 year old American businessman Gregg Bemis. more

FINANCE| EC Proposes €1.6bn For Culture & AV Industry (2014 - 2020)
The European Commission has proposed in its Multiannual Financial Framework (MMF) for 2014-2020 to allocate €1.6bn for culture and the audiovisual industry. The proposal would see the Culture, MEDIA and MEDIA Mundus programmes combined into an “umbrella” programme called Creative Europe. more
