FESTIVALS| Four Irish Projects for Rotterdam

The IFTA nominated Irish features, 'Parked' and 'Circus Fantasticus' and Irish produced documentary, 'Off the Beaten Track' and short film, 'Tiong Bahru' have all been officially selected for the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) which will take place from 26th January to the 6th of February.

Several Irish projects including features, documentaries and dramas have received Celtic Media Award nominations. The selected Irish made programmes include many IFTA nominated projects such as Abu Media's '1916 -Seachtar na Casca', Rachel Lysaght and Risteard Ó Domhnaill's feature doc, 'The Pipe' and Stirling Film and TV Productions Ltd's 'Seacht'.more |

REP-BODIES| BAI Seeks Right of Reply Scheme Reactions |
The Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI) recently published its Draft BAI Right of Reply Scheme (Draft Scheme). The Draft Scheme, once implemented, will provide for the broadcast of a Right of Reply Statement which will facilitate the correction of incorrect information which has been broadcast and which has resulted in a person's honour or reputation being impugned. more |

FESTIVAL | Irish Features Screen at Palm Springs |
Two IFTA nominated features are lined up to screen at the Palm Springs International Film Festival in the coming days. Juanita Wilson's 'As If I Am Not There' will screen on Friday, January 14th whilst Risteard O'Domhnaill's feature documentary, 'The Pipe' is to show on Saturday, January 15th. Ian Power's IFTA nominated film, 'The Runway' screened at the event on January 10th. more |

BROADCAST | MIPTV Hosting 'Camelot' Int Premiere Screening |
MIPTV's World Premiere TV Screenings event will host the international premiere screening of Irish-Canadian major co-production 'Camelot' which will take place on the opening evening of MIPTV 2011 on Monday April, 4th in Cannes. The show's stars Eva Green and Joseph Fiennes will be in attendance at the screening. more |
