CASTING | Joseph Fiennes & Eva Green Enter 'Camelot'
Cameras will begin rolling on the Irish set of the historical drama 'Camelot' on Monday, June 28th and will see Joseph Fiennes (Shakespeare in Love) in the role of Merlin opposite Bond girl Eva Green's Morgana. Other cast members for the 10 part drama series include Jamie Campbell Bower (New Moon) and Tamsin Bower (4.3.2.1). more
PRODUCTION | Ireland 'Must Be The Place' For Penn & McDormand
Pre-production is now underway on Paulo Sorrentino's 'This Must Be The Place', a new feature film that will shoot in Ireland this summer. The drama stars Oscar winning actors Sean Penn (Milk) and Frances McDormand (Fargo). more

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW | Domhnall Gleeson Introduces 'Noreen'
Domhnall Gleeson has had a busy few months. The actor-cum-writer and director has been jetting back and forth to film sets dotted across the globe. He had finished up work last week on the set of 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows' just in time to attend the Irish premiere of his latest short film, 'Noreen' when IFTN caught up with him to talk about shooting scenes with Jeff Bridges, his father's occasionally questionable choice in facial hair and keeping secrets from Keira Knightley. more

The winners of the BAFTA TV awards held on Sunday, June 6th include Northern Irish born actor, Kenneth Branagh, Northern Ireland filmed drama 'Occupation' and other productions with strong Irish connections such as Julie Walters for her role in BBC One's 'Mo' and Channel 4's 'Misfits'. more
BROADCAST | Five Million Tune in For 'Father & Son'
Irish drama 'Father & Son' began broadcasting on Monday 7th June on ITV1 to an audience of 5.127 million viewers. A co-production between RTÉ and ITV, the IFTA winning drama from Left Bank Pictures and Octagon Films stars Dougray Scott (Hitman), Stephen Rea (Ondine) and Sophie Okenedo (Hotel Rwanda). more
POST PRODUCTION | Egg Introduces Nucoda Film Master
In the past few weeks post production house Egg has installed and put to use a Nucoda Film Master 4k/2k colour grading and finishing system. Delivered last month, the system has already been used to grade Finnish romantic comedy 'Lapland Odyssey' by Egg colourist Sebastian Guest and is now being used to grade two further features. more
FESTIVALS | Irish Festival News: Yellow Fever & Lightbox
In the latest Irish festivals news, Animated Film Cinema North West and The Model have partnered to create a dedicated Irish Animation festival, the Lightbox Festival which will take place in Sligo on the 19th and 20th June. In addition, the Yellow Fever Independent Film Festival returns this summer to the Stormont Hotel in Belfast from August 27th to 29th for the second year with a new 1 Minute Movie feature. more

The 22nd Galway Film Fleadh has announced that its Pitching Award will once again take place during the week of the Fleadh which will take place from Tuesday July 6th to Sunday July 11th. The deadline for submissions for the award is Friday, 18th June.more
