Glen Killane Appointed RTE MD of Television
RTE has announced that Glen Killane will be the new Managing Director of Television, taking up the post on Tuesday, June 1st. Glen has been Group Head of RTE Sport since 2006 and Head of RTE TV Sport from 2004. more

The Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI) has issued two revised broadcasting codes. The revised codes update the standards that radio and television advertising, sponsorship and product placement. more
Big Screen Attracting Bigger Audiences
Despite the economic challenges of early 2010, the number of people going to the cinema throughout the Republic of Ireland has continued to rise: Quarter 1 cinema admissions for 2010 reveal a year on year increase of 1.2%. more

An Interim Management Statement for UTV Media PLC'S current financial year which examined the company’s trading between January 1st 2010 and April 30th has recorded an overall revenue increase of 5% compared to last year’s figure.
