Irish Screenwriter Gets Hollywood Treatment

Having a short story discovered on a website has led screenwriter Sarah Daly to leave her office job and see her films come to life through the acting talents of stars Joseph Gordon Levitt (500 Days of Summer) and Channing Tatum (Step Up, Dear John). Sarah spoke to IFTN about the immense collaborative online effort which has resulted in the production of two short films she has penned and her debut feature project, 'Harboured'. more |

Belfast Film Festival Dishes out Sinks

This year's Belfast Film Festival marked its 10th anniversary with the bestowal of the first ever 'Belfast Sink' award on actor Ciarán Hinds. The festival's other winners include Lifetime Achievement winning cinematographer Haskell Wexler, Andrew Legge's 'The Chronoscope' which won the Best Short Film Award and Michael Palmieri's 'October Country' which scooped the festival's Maysles Brothers Documentary prize. more |
