Fastnet Explore 'The Other Side of Sleep'
Fastnet Films are currently in production with a new Irish feature entitled 'The Other Side of Sleep'. The thriller, starring Antonia Campbell Hughes (Bright Star) and Sam Keeley, is directed by Rebecca Daly and will shoot in various locations around Ireland until May. more
Cinematographer Stafford-Johnson is 'Living the Wildlife'
Emmy-award winning cinematographer Colin Stafford-Johnson returns to Irish screens on Tuesday, May 4th in RTÉ's wildlife series 'Living the Wildlife'. Today he talks to IFTN about bellowing toads, his sentimentality for film cameras and how nature rules his life. more
Nods for Irish Talent at BAFTA Craft Awards
Ireland's creative talent has received acclaim through several nominations at the BAFTA TV Craft Awards. Director Aisling Walsh and writer Guy Hibbert and recent Northern Ireland based productions including 'Occupation' and 'Mo' have received the prestigious nods.more

Submissions are currently being accepted by RTÉ Television for a dedicated series for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing communities. The dedicated slot for the hard of hearing communities has been a yearly feature for two decades and most recently hosted Mind the Gap films' 'Hands On' series.more

Irish Screenwriter Gets Hollywood Treatment
Having a short story discovered on a website has led screenwriter Sarah Daly to leave her office job and see her films come to life through the acting talents of stars Joseph Gordon Levitt (500 Days of Summer) and Channing Tatum (Step Up, Dear John). Sarah spoke to IFTN about the immense collaborative online effort which has resulted in the production of two short films she has penned and her debut feature project, 'Harboured'. more
Belfast Film Festival Dishes out Sinks
This year's Belfast Film Festival marked its 10th anniversary with the bestowal of the first ever 'Belfast Sink' award on actor Ciarán Hinds. The festival's other winners include Lifetime Achievement winning cinematographer Haskell Wexler, Andrew Legge's 'The Chronoscope' which won the Best Short Film Award and Michael Palmieri's 'October Country' which scooped the festival's Maysles Brothers Documentary prize. more

Akajava Are in 'Wonderland'
Production is currently underway on the set of 'Wonderland', a new Irish-produced documentary about director Irina Maldea's experiences of growing up in the communist film industry of Romania. The project was granted funding by the most recent Eurimages grant round. more
